2012: Seriousness, Discovering Myself, and a New Chapter {Personal}

This has been one of my most defining years for me in my photographic journey. Although I've done photography for a few years now, 2012 has really marked the start of my business, and taking this to a whole new seriousness. I've made so many new friends in the industry that I owe a lot of thanks to. I've learned a lot from them and have made a lot of changes...with just about everything.

I've created a brand for myself, I've invested in new equipment and packaging, I've launched my new website, I've improved my skills tremendously, and most importantly, I've discovered more of myself.

Since I am my brand, it has made me look at myself in a new way. It has taught me things about myself that I never thought of before. It has changed my behavior and has helped define who I am. Through this process, I've realized that this is the career path I feel I was meant to take. I have a lot more determination to making this dream happen. It's going to be a lot of hard work, but I'm excited for the next years to come in getting there! 2012 is just the start.

In this process of discovering myself, I have discovered what clientele I want to focus on in the new year. I want to be exclusively a senior portrait and engagement photographer. Why? Cause that is where my heart lies. It's too stressful to try to be the do it all photographer. By focusing on what I love most, allows me to better myself and my business. I can't wait to begin this new chapter in my business.

Hope you all have happy new year!
